Fabrication Modeler Technician |
Responsibilities include assisting in the building of full size mock up models of prototype and concept cars. Tasks will involve taking direction from designers and project leaders to change or modify surfaces on models to achieve desired shapes and highlights, using materials such as foam, fiberglass, epoxy, plastic filler, and primer. Fitting and finishing parts such as headlights, taillights, glass, moldings, mirrors, door handles, etc. Application of primers and paints. Color sanding and buffing. Shop maintenance and cleaning Job Requirements- High School diploma or equivalent. Vocational/Specialized training with 8+ years of related experience, or 2-4 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree. Experience in automotive repair and painting would be beneficial. Familiarity with a variety of tools (Hand tools, drills, routers, circular/jig/table/and band saws, various sanding equipment) Bonus Skills- FRP mold making and parts lay-up, Silicone molds and casting, Clay modeling, CNC 3 and 5 axis milling Data engineering. | Japanese/English Technical Interpreter/Translator | Position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline or equivalent work experience in translation/interpretation. Specialized courses/certification in translation/interpretation preferred. Good understanding of automotive and technical terminology is preferred. Excellent organizational skills and strong computer skills is a plus. Some travel may be required. Successful candidate must be skilled in both simultaneous/consecutive interpretation as they will be performing simultaneous and consecutive interpretation from English to Japanese and Japanese to English at various executive meetings and events.
